2024: A Tumultuous and Momentous Year

From unrest in the Middle East and Eastern Europe to the year poised to be the world’s warmest on record, 2024 has been nothing short of eventful. The US elections made global headlines. But elections were held around the world with incumbents voted out democratically (UK, Botswana, Ghana, Mauritius et al), re-elected for another term (India) and some escaping defeat by the skin of their teeth (South Africa, Namibia). We all know the fate of despots who were despatched in citizen uprisings. The AGR team has been working extensively in many of the countries in 2024 and keeping tabs of developments.

MPs recently backed a landmark bill to legalise assisted dying in England and Wales. And more recently, conversations centre around how Nvidia and the AI boom face a scaling problem.  AI is being deployed on a large scale across industries and AGR has been successful at developing products and services from its AI Hub
